Your work should be:
neat
in full-color
free of (plain) pencil
entirely your own work
full of only good spelling and punctuation
free of any plagiarism
Make it fantastic!

1. Choose an Indian tribe (not from California).
2. Research topic (collect information). Use at least three sources. Cite them specifically.
3. Complete all four Must Do's and one May Do of your choice. Each element is worth 20 points.

Must Do:
1) 40 Maps (don't forget your Frames of Reference!)
Defining in Context (Facts!)
Describing
Comparing and Contrasting
Classifying (put facts into groups or categories)
Whole-to-part (physical object)
Sequence (put in order some events or steps in a process)
Cause-and-effect (causes and effects of some event)
Seeing analogies (comparing relationships)
2) Compose an Expository (informational) essay (typed or inked; if typed, double-spaced).
3) Powerpoint (OpenOffice.org)
4) Poster (8 1/2" x 11"; portrait orientation)
May Do:
Tri-fold board
Diorama
Bust/Model/Realia (handmade)
Video (storyboard first)
Comic (storyboard first)
Web page/post
Dramatization (script first)
Compose a poem (acrostic, haiku, etc.) or song
Mural
Collage
Experiment/Demonstration
Game-board
Important figure/Author/Artist/Composer study
Publish a book
Life-size figure (seated in chair)
On walls, all scored assignments in each subject.
Share completed work with peers.

When using a word processor (Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or Works), save file as *.rtf.
When creating a powerpoint, save as *.ppt.
