I. Choose a great historical figure, explorer, author, composer, artist, scientist, etc.
II. Research the person. Use at least three sources, and cite them specifically.
III. Complete all Must Dos and one May Do of your choice.


MUST DO

1) Maps (include your Frames of Reference!)
Defining in Context (Facts. At least three sources.)
Describing
Comparing and Contrasting
Classifying (group facts into categories)
Whole-to-part (a physical object)
Sequence (put in order some events or steps in a process)
Cause-and-effect (the causes and effects of some event)
Seeing analogies (comparing relationships)

2) Compose an Expository/Informational Map and Essay (typed or inked; if typed, double-spaced). Include:
-an introduction that grabs the reader's interest and previews your main points,

-Discuss your subject's childhood, personal history, talents, achievements, and values. Be sure to include whatever he or she did to make history (or the author/composer/artist/scientist's achievements, including the work for which they are well-known. Include an excerpt of one piece that you find especially powerful or interesting),

-a conclusion that reviews your main points and offers a personal reaction to your subject.

-a bibliography

3) Poster (8 1/2" x 11"; portrait orientation)

4) Use your Expository Map and Essay to create a Slides presentation.

5) Create a Website.

6) Create a Quizizz/Kahoot.

7) Role play your figure at Open House!
